Day 01: Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival at New Delhi International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Take some time to relax and recover from your journey. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi

Start your exploration of the capital city with a full-day tour of Old and New Delhi:

  • Raj Ghat: Pay homage at the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, marking the site of his cremation.
  • Red Fort: Explore the magnificent 17th-century fort, a symbol of Mughal grandeur built by Emperor Shah Jahan.
  • Jama Masjid: Visit India's largest mosque, built by Shah Jahan, and marvel at its architectural splendor.
  • Chandni Chowk: Take a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling alleys of this famous market and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere.
  • Humayun’s Tomb: Admire this UNESCO World Heritage site, an architectural precursor to the Taj Mahal.
  • Qutub Minar: Visit this soaring 234-foot tower, a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur (265 km / 5-6 hours)

  • After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, known as the "Pink City." Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel.
  • In the evening, explore the local markets or opt for an excursion to Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic village resort offering camel rides, traditional Rajasthani cuisine, and live cultural performances.
  • Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 04: Jaipur

Start the day with a visit to Jaipur’s iconic landmarks:

  • Amber Fort & Palace: Marvel at the blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. You may also enjoy an optional elephant ride to the fort.
  • City Palace: Explore the grand residence of Jaipur's Maharajas.
  • Jantar Mantar: Visit the 18th-century astronomical observatory.

  • Jal Mahal: See this beautiful palace set amidst Mansarovar Lake.

Day 06: Agra – Delhi (200 km / 4.5 hrs)

Today, explore the iconic monuments of Agra:

  • Taj Mahal: Witness the beauty of this world-renowned monument of love, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
  • Agra Fort: Visit this UNESCO World Heritage site, an imposing Mughal fortress.
  • Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb: Discover this beautiful tomb, known as the "Baby Taj."

Further drive to New Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 07: Delhi - Kathmandu (Flight)

  • Activities: Take a flight to Kathmandu, Nepal. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Visit the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu to obtain a visa for Tibet.
  • Overnight: Kathmandu

Day 08: Kathmandu Sightseeing

  • Activities: Explore the sacred city of Kathmandu, visiting important religious sites like Pashupatinath Temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva), Boudhanath Stupa (one of the largest spherical stupas), and Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) offering panoramic views of Kathmandu.
  • Overnight: Kathmandu

Day 09: Kathmandu Sightseeing

  • Activities: Continue your exploration of the Kathmandu Valley with a visit to Patan City, known for its rich cultural heritage and beautiful temples and palaces. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner.

Day 10: Free Day in Kathmandu

  • Activities: Spend a day shopping for souvenirs, handicrafts, and exploring the vibrant streets of Thamel, Kathmandu's tourist hub.

Day 11: Kathmandu to Nepalgunj (Flight)

  • Activities: Take a flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, located in the southwestern part of Nepal, and the starting point for your Kailash Mansarovar journey.
  • Overnight: Nepalgunj

Day 12: Nepalgunj to Simikot to Hilsa (Flight and Helicopter)

  • Activities: Early morning flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot. From Simikot, take a helicopter ride to Hilsa, a village near the Nepal-China border. After completing border formalities, cross into Tibet and drive to Taklakot (Burang).
  • Overnight: Taklakot

Day 14: Taklakot to Lake Mansarovar

  • Activities: After breakfast, drive to Lake Mansarovar, a sacred freshwater lake with profound spiritual significance in Hinduism and Buddhism. Perform a ritual bath in the holy waters, and take part in prayers and puja.
  • Overnight: Lake Mansarovar

Day 15: Lake Mansarovar to Darchen

  • Activities: Drive to Darchen, the base camp for the Mount Kailash trek. Spend the day preparing for the parikrama (circumambulation) of Mount Kailash.
  • Overnight: Darchen

Day 16: Mount Kailash Parikrama – Trek to Dirapuk

  • Activities: Start your trek around Mount Kailash, a 52-km journey revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. Today, trek from Darchen to Dirapuk (20 km), with breathtaking views of the north face of Mount Kailash.
  • Overnight: Dirapuk

Day 17: Mount Kailash Parikrama – Trek to Zuthulpuk

  • Activities: Continue the second day of the parikrama, crossing Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the trek at 5,636 meters (18,500 ft). The descent from the pass takes you to Zuthulpuk, where you’ll rest for the night.
